Caught up with Felicia and her friend @ Waraku after work. I really love Waraku. Super wide spread of choices leaves me a hard time placing orders. I remembered the previous experience with their set meals had me staggering out of the starhub outlet with a heavily bulging stomach. I must not gag myself with so much food tonight, i say to myself.

I ordered this noodles which was served in a huge-mongus bowl, bigger than the army helmet! I keep attacking the noodles repeatly and the portions simply remain the same! Thank goodness for Raymond whom unwillingly became my human food disposer. ;D

Weiting's ROM

Weiting got us invited to witness her ROM ceremony at Yum cha, Chinatown. We wouldn't want to be late and ended up being one of the earliest to arrive. I guess we woudln't mind as we took time to catch up with one other before the ceremony commerced.

Weiting looked so gorgeous in a white gown, while De Hua got into a dashing white suit. He was so nervous that he left Weiting's IC in the car! Thank God that the solemnizer was a patient man and understands that silly mistakes would sometimes happen when you least expect. When everything finally got into place, the ceremony began...

We were all happy for this little couple as they took vows of eternal love and exchange rings of promise.

This joyous occasion wouldn't be complete without banquet style of fabulous food...

However, there's simply too much food and we can't finish them all...

I always like vampires, really!

I remember reading somewhere that it is in their nature to seduce their victims. Their very scent, their very stare has the power to numb every senses of their victims. They would then be in a complete helpless state at the moment the vampire draws their fangs. This movie takes the story further by explaining why they refuse to go under the sun. Not that the rays will hurt them, but rather they glow like diamonds under the sun. Diamonds. That's a girl's best friend ain't it?

The experience is sweet. He hold my hand while we walked beneath the stars, listening as the waves lapped onto the dam. We marvelled at excellent night singapore with the wind and light drizzle on our faces. i guess i'll never forget tonight. it was simply romantic.

It's my off day today. i've taken leave to concentrate on my revision for my exam. I didn't expect my auntie to leave my little nephew in my mum's care for the day while she visits the doctor.

I dun think my mum can handle him. He's such a hyperactive kid. We simply can't keep up with him. He just ran around the house amok, screaming and laughing. My mum was just hoping he'll get tired and fall asleep. To our dismay, he just seemed to get more hype up! haizz..

Today, i met up with Felicia for dinner at the 99cent sushi place at The Cathay. She seems excited to bring me here, had heard her mention this place a couple for times. The day to pay a visit has finally arrive.

Just a quick dinner though. Met Timothy whose mind never really seemed to knock off work. He's still thinking about work stuff over dinner even though he had leave office. Still, he seemed to be a nice guy. He offered to give her a ride home too!

Since young, i always feel closer to my dad. I like that he's a better driver than mom. And a better sense of humour too. His huge rough hands almost seems be to able to hold the sky when it falls. I remember those days when i would sit around with my brother and helped him removed white hairs from his head. How he hated aging! The constant need to work under blazing sun had tanned him so much that I looked like a fair princess simply by standing next to him!

A Hong Kong Affair

It was the most magical moment when we took off to HKG, a place where he belongs wholly and entirely mine for 5 long days straight. The first birthday i celebrated with him, in a foreign land where we knew no one, and no one knew us. I've got him, and he got me, most happiest days of my life.

Driving Test

My heart was thumping uncontrollably. Not that i can control it. But it was thobbing madly against my ribcage that my entire body shook. My perspiration broke out like waterfall from my forehead. An useless attempt to drown myself in it.

Today is my actual driving test. I was praying for sunny weather. But clouds gathered above my head and started to rain on me. However, my spirits wasn't dampened. I'm determined to get my offical licence today.

You heard me. Not tomorrow. Definiately not the day after. Today is the day. Perfect day to get THE damn licence. He's not gonna run away from me this time. heh.

I thought my direction change was terrible. I made the turn early and have to make an extra turn to get the stupid car into the slot. Maybe it's the rain la. Can't really see properly. (bleah). He tapped on his tablet comp.

Along Ang Mo Kio Ave 5, i was trying to get from lane 1 to lane 3. There's an annoying van beside me, refusing to give way. For that split second, i couldn't decide whether to speed up or slow down. *sweat* Thank goodness, he decided to decelerate. (whew~). He tapped on his tablet comp again. (arrgghh).

After cruising for a few minutes, did a couple of turns, we were due to return to SSDC. Back at the testers' office, i watched him nervously as he printed out my result slip.

"No good. Plenty of room for improvement. "

I nearly cry as he handed me my slip. I passed.

"Is their sniper crouching behind that giant wooden spool? Are we running into an ambush?"

A sharp crack splintered in my ear. A paintball explodes on the oil drum which i was hiding behind. I could feel the splatter of the paint flying past. Suddenly the air stung with the sound of paintballs whizzing through. Everyone dived for cover, the hiss of paintballs grazing within inches really gets the adrenaline pumping.

Panting nervously, i crouched low, peering close to the oil drum as much as possible. As i was about to move towards the divider, i can feel tons of shots raining down on me. Damnit. I'm dead!

My first paintball session with Ray, Chris, Amy and friends at Yishun country club. i was a lousy shooter. By the end of the session, i'm still a lousy shooter (if not, worst). But that doesn't kill the game. Totally enjoy it. :)

We went to IMM with Ray's parents to do some shopping for a new toilet bowl and basin. Ray and his dad were the ones doing the serious shopping, considering, eliminating, deciding and finally purchasing.. we were stuck in that same store for 2 hours..

Then i suggested TV shopping.. which led to another couple of hours in Best Denki with a new 42" LCD tv and a new $200+ shaver for Ray. Ray's mum got so bored we decided to drop the guys for a little tea break at the food court while they were deciding on a new chair from V Hive.

Guys can sometimes take a much longer time to shop than ladies!

Gosh.. Ken's pool of work has really loaded me so much that i can hardly breathe. I've been taking so much work back these days that i am cutting back on my study and rest time.

I reach home at 11-ish after class. After a quick shower, i took a cab to ray's place so that i can hook onto internet to complete any unfinished work. To my surprise, i saw Raymond Chin and Chris Teo (my colleagues) online. They were also rushing their PFRs for tomorrow's submission.

It was 4am when i finally signed off my last PFR but i heard the boys stay up till 5-ish.

I'm so in need of sleep.

Need to wake up at 8am for work.

Arrgghh... It's sunday! And i still have to drag myself to school in the morning for Sami's class. I thought i saw it marked on my diary that it's just gonna be a 3 hour class but it turned out to be 6 hours long. There was a change in timetable and this weekend class was 2 sessions instead of one. i nearly fainted.

Having to endure Sami's class was torturous. His classes never end on time and breaks are usually super short. He teaches at a bullet speed. It'll be a miracle if i can digest that chunk of information loaded at every lesson.

i'm not looking forward to my next weekend class. :(

Finally managed to rush my way down to Emerald Hill, No 5 to meet Fel and her friend Jin Cheng.

Even though this place serves one of the best fried wings in town, it's not gonna make up for my mistake in ording this yucky drink - Bangkok Martini. Fel says it doesn't only looks like puke, it taste like puke too! shucks~

Left that place early, hoping to finish some work before ray's classes ended. As i passed the Cathay, i was lured into the music store by Coldplay's Viva La Vida. i think you would have guessed it, i bought that album without much consideration. heh.

After fel's birthday party at Butter factory, i have not meet up with Andrea and Evans till this evening. We had decide to have dinner together.

Prior to that, i was rushing my work like a mad girl, hoping to leave on time to meet them. Eventually, i was still a couple of minute late..

We were comtemplating if we should have japanese food (i was craving for sushi!) or something else. We decide to have New York New York at Citylink eventually.

Thank goodness our waiting time wasn't too long, which was unlike my previous experience where we ended up waiting for half an hour. There was a queue forming after us instantly.

My chicken hotdog wasn't much of a looker, but it sure is satisfying. Juicy chicken flank sandwiched in a bun, topped with spicy american sauce. Nice~*

After dinner, fel and i head down to winebar for some drinks.

This sem prep's a total slack, much under Ray's influence. grins. i wish he can knock off work fast and join me to study. But that's a wishful thought. He would rather be engross in psp. Need to relax a bit, he says.

Today is an exception. I was in Raffles area when i knocked off this afternoon, around 4.30pm. 3 hours before Ray can meet up with me, i thought. i found myself walking to TCC and noticed how cozy it was. :)

Our first outdoor activity as a cell group in 2008! We had BBQ at pasir ris park. Some souls who wasn't regular turned up too (i'm refering to Gabriel of course!). This was the wettest and coldest BBQ ever... We cooked our food in a thunderstorm! Most of us were soaked to our skin, but we still tried very hard to keep the rainwater off our pit. All of us put up a massive display of teamwork. Something that will be remembered for many days to come.. :)

My New Study Mate - Ray

Ray asked if we can study together. We decided on NUS library which turn out to be a really nice place to cram on books. I've not been so lavishly treated like a girl for the longest time. He picked me up from my place, bought the most tibits and even carried all my stuff. I can almost swallow him alive!

We studied over night at the same place for 2 nights.

But nothing much was actually done.. *laughs*

I didn't know that Hark music school was open by David's ex-classmate. I remember JC bringing me there somewhere in 2006. There used to be a pub on the ground floor which was open to the public. I brought Ryan there a couple of weeks ago but realise that the pub was no longer there. The owner (David's ex-classmate) told us that they do away with the pub concept as they found it rather difficult to manage. Their current focus was to groom local talent and hopefully release some quality tracks to the public.

He gave us a little performance by playing "secrets" from Jay Chou's movie.

I was charmed by his music... :D

Search for pink white dress

Tomorrow's Step's wedding... I was told to wear a pink white dress.. And the search begins..

This tube dress was spotted at The Cathay.. A white dress with little pink flowers and green leaves. It has a really nice touch on the skin. Very good material. Sweet. However, it costed $300+. Way beyond my budget.

Saw this white lace dress at Takashimaya. I thought it's the best dress i've seen so far. Oozes girl charm. I was so close to purchasing until David says it doesn't suit me. Probably wun get to wear it if i buy it.

This was from Chaos, far east. Totally bright and wild. Was feeling hype when i put it on. Dressed to kill? No, good enough to turn couple of heads..... :)

I can't understand Hokkien!

I had a deal with Damian Lin. That is, i'll attend his service on Saturday evening while he attends mine the following Sunday.

First time attending a Hokkien Service at FCBC. I was struggling to follow the sermon, can hardly understand what it is all about. lol.

Damian still prefers his own church service after attending AMKPC. He thinks that our church is kinda conservative.

I promised to visit his English service on 11 Nov at Expo.

Another day with Will Chen

The day was spend hanging around with William Chen at Chinatown. A wet day. We went to this place near Duxton Road, hoping to grab some drinks at the pubs. Unfortunately, most pubs were closed and the streets were wet after the rain. It looked almost like a ghost town to me.

William wanted to chill at the Screening Room, a 5 storey building nicely done up to provide "bistro inspired by the film". He told me about being toured around the place by the owner shortly after the renovation was done. That was even before it was open to the public.

When we arrived there, only the restaurant on the ground level was open. We were feeling disappointed as we head back to Chinatown. As we pass by Pargoda Street, I saw ZenBar - the 2nd place where i fell in love with Salsa other than Union Bar. We decide to check out the Sunday crowd there.

They were offering free basic classes every Saturday. William and i were on the upper deck people watching, teasing and fooling around. Then being such a "show off", he tried to teach me some basic salsa steps. lol. we ended up laughing at each other (more like laughing at me!).

In short, it was an enjoyable day.

Met up with William Chen to catch Superbad at viviocity. Quite a corny movie, not recommended unless you have extra cash to spare. It's about 3 silly high school kids trying to lose virginity before graduation.

After dinner, we went to Sentosa. It's the first time i've took the new monorail over to the island. It was quite an experience. Although i've been there at night quite a couple of times in the night, every trip is memorable in its way. This time? Kel got jealous that I went to Sentosa with a guy fren.

I made the trip down to mos after sending Will back, with the intention of calming down the poor guy. Bought his frens a round of drinks and everything was cool. whew~
